Troubleshooting

Here are helpful solutions to enhance your experience and get you back on track.  Please try the following solutions. If you have other concerns, please use the article search on the FAQ top page.

 

Charging Light Not Coming On

Please check your charging setup. For details, please refer to the "If your BoT device won't charge" page.

 

White Light is Rotating

BoT Talk is currently communicating. For details, please refer to the "The LED on BoT Talk is spinning white continuously" page.

 

Completed "Connect your BoT Talk" but Still Shows "Demo"

After completing both "Connect your BoT Talk" and charging the BoT device, please wait for SIM activation and BoT location information acquisition to complete. For details, please refer to the "Getting started with your BoT Talk" page.

 

Location Information Not Updating

To conserve battery, BoT pauses location updates when no movement is detected. Updates may also not occur in environments where location detection is difficult or on bullet trains. For details, please refer to the "Location information is not updating" page.

 

Location Information is Incorrect

If a location is shown where you haven't been, you can help improve accuracy by reporting it through the app. For details, please refer to the "How to report incorrect location (Incorrect Location Report)" page.

 

Receiving Multiple Notifications While Stationary

Due to positioning characteristics, you may receive repeated notifications even while staying in the same location due to margin of error. This may be improved by adjusting the notification spot location. For details, please refer to the "Push notifications keep coming repeatedly" page.

 

Unable to Send Talk Messages

Please try resetting your BoT device.

 

Unable to Play Talk Messages

While playing the talk message, please try adjusting the volume up and down to check if it plays.
