Battery Wear & Swelling: What You Should Know

BoT Talk uses a lithium-ion battery, just like smartphones. Over time, batteries naturally wear out and, in rare cases, may swell. Here’s what you need to know:

Battery Wear

  • The battery gradually loses capacity with regular charging.
  • This natural wear is not covered under warranty - we recommend replacing the device after about 2 years.

Battery Swelling

Battery swelling may occur due to extended periods of non-use or exposure to high temperatures (e.g., being left on a car dashboard in the sun).

If you notice swelling:

  1. Stop using the device immediately.
  2. Do not charge it.
  3. Contact BoT Talk Support for assistance.

Battery Care Tips

  • Avoid exposure to extreme heat or freezing conditions.
  • Try not to let the battery drain completely—charge it halfway regularly.
  • Avoid overcharging or leaving it plugged in for long periods of time.
