The ringtone for BoT Talk is set to silent mode by default. While your child is at school, please select "OFF (Default Setting)" to ensure the ringtone does not sound and then send the talk.
You can also choose to enable the ringtone based on your child's surroundings and the importance of the talk.
- Tap on the map card of BoT.
- Tap on the "Talk" tab at the top right of the screen.
- Once the recording button microphone appears, tap on the microphone.
- Press and hold the microphone.
- Once the microphone lights up red, begin recording.
- Release your finger once the recording is complete.
- Select the ringtone (e.g., "Bell sound").
- Tap the send button "↑".
- The message will be sent automatically.
When a new message arrives at the BoT device, the LED will flash white (messages arrive at the same time as positioning).
When your child plays the message, the "read" status will appear on the smartphone's talk room screen. It's reassuring to know that your child has checked the message.
- The recording time is at least 1 second and up to 40 seconds. Messages shorter than 1 second cannot be sent.
- Talks are sent and received at approximately 1-minute intervals. It is not real-time communication.
- It depends on the Docomo LTE radio wave environment.
- Messages are saved for 1 month and can be played back as many times as you like.
- Messages remain in the talk history, so you can listen to them anytime and reply to messages later. You can have a smooth conversation between parents and children without missing each other.
New Feature | AI Text Conversion Function
Parents can input text in the app, and AI will read it aloud and send it as audio. When you input text instead of voice and send a talk, the text will be converted into audio and sent to your child's BoT. Updating the app to the latest version allows you to use the latest features.
* Currently supports Japanese only (as of January 2024).
* Emojis are not converted into audio.
