Points to note when charging with a car's cigarette charger

If you use a standard product that complies with the overvoltage protection standard for automotive electrical systems, known as "ISO7637-2", charging is possible but may lead to malfunction.
Please note that failure during cigarette socket charging is not covered by the product warranty.

  • Please note that GPS BoT device failure due to USB cigarette charger usage is not covered by the warranty.
  • BoT devices are compatible with 12V/24V vehicles and can be charged with 5V/1A~.
  • Please refer to the specifications of each manufacturer for cigarette charger specifications.

Points to Note for Use

  • Avoid leaving the device in the car for extended periods, especially during summer when interior temperatures rise. Always use within specified conditions.
    • Storage Environment
      • Temperature: -10°C to 50°C
      • Humidity: 10% to 90% RH (non-condensing, non-freezing)
    • Operating Environment
      • Temperature: 5°C to 35°C
      • Humidity: 20% to 80% RH (non-condensing)
  • BoT does not support USB adapters that automatically detect rapid charging or output voltage. The protection circuit will activate, preventing power supply.
  • In-car, if GPS satellite signals are inaccessible and there are no nearby Wi-Fi access points, current location may not be determined. Placing the BoT device on the dashboard or near a window may improve location detection and update frequency.
