Keep BoT Still When Not Monitoring
When there is no movement at all in the BoT, it determines that the BoT is not moving, pauses the current location tracking, and conserves the battery. When you return home or are not monitoring, storing it in a place where it won’t be affected by movement can help conserve the battery.
Use Battery Saver Mode
Compared to the Frequency Saver Mode (with updates every 1-2 minutes), the Battery Saver Mode monitors at intervals of about 3 minutes, resulting in longer battery life.
Setting Battery Saver Mode
- Open the BoT app.
- Tap the "︙" at the bottom right of the map.
- Tap "Mode".
- Tap "Battery Saver Mode".
- Tap "OK".
Just as smartphones have a lifespan for their batteries, the built-in battery of BoT also gradually loses capacity over time. We estimate the battery lifespan to be approximately 1.5 to 2 years, but this can vary significantly depending on usage frequency.
